Governance Framework for Multi-Agent Systems: Practices of Auditable and Verifiable Autonomous Workflows (Introduction)
This article introduces the Agent Governance project, which proposes a systematic governance framework to address the governance challenges faced by multi-agent systems as they evolve from single-task executors to autonomous collaborative complex systems—including unpredictable behavior, ambiguous responsibility attribution, difficult audit tracking, and compliance requirements. The framework embeds compliance, transparency, and controllability into the core of system design through clear acceptance criteria, auditable execution processes, and evidence-based review mechanisms, ensuring the controllability and transparency of AI systems.
