In the MCP ecosystem, servers provide specific capabilities, while clients call these capabilities based on user needs. consult-llm-mcp is a unique MCP server—it itself provides Claude Code with the ability to call other large language models.

## Project Overview

consult-llm-mcp is a specially designed MCP server that allows Claude Code to call external more powerful reasoning models (such as o1, o3-mini, etc.) when deep reasoning is needed. This design cleverly combines the strengths of different models: Claude handles daily conversations and context management, while specialized reasoning models deal with complex logical problems.
