[Main Floor] Nord Project: Reshaping Efficient Language Models with Brain-Inspired Spiking Neural Networks
The Nord Project focuses on using brain-inspired spiking neural networks (SNNs) to address the energy efficiency crisis of large language models. Traditional neural networks' dense computing leads to energy waste, while the human brain completes complex tasks with low power consumption. Through event-driven, sparse-computing SNNs combined with core innovations (optimized neuron models, sparse attention, surrogate gradient training), this project brings an energy efficiency revolution to language models and is expected to play an important role in scenarios like edge device deployment.
