Introduction: NeuralTide—A New Differentiable Modeling Framework for Spiking Neuron Population Networks
NeuralTide is a Python toolkit for differentiable modeling and training of spiking neuron population networks. Its core goal is to bridge the gap between biological neuroscience models and modern deep learning training techniques, combining spiking neural networks (SNNs) with differentiable training methods to provide a new path for computational neuroscience and brain-inspired computing research. It emphasizes computational efficiency, scalability, and compatibility with mainstream deep learning ecosystems (such as PyTorch), lowering the barrier to SNN research.
